just wanna check with you guys on this matter.. recently done my 80K service.. but felt that the fuel consumption has increased.. usually filled 36 litres and doing around 430km before next refill..
should i send back to SC for inspection ? thanks in advanced..
you told that usually 36 ltr for 430 km, means about 12 km per litre, so whats the mileage you could do now with the same refill, you didnt mention.....
was your tyres under-inflated ? had you checked your alignment ? had you changed your spark-plugs and air-filter ? any clog on your fuel filter ? any problem with your cooling system thermostat ? have you got excessive engine idling lately ?
it's still the same brader.. around 430km for 36 litres.. already check my tyres.. by the way, i'm not too good with car maintenance. usually pump 200 for the tyres front and back.. pls correct me if i'm wrong..
recently done my alignment.. it seems pretty good. already changed the spark plugs and oil filter during my 80k service recently. as for the rest, i'm not too sure though. don't really understand these terms as mentioned by you. sorry yah.. :(
thanks for the advice brader.. will try as per mentioned.. :)
by the way, i'm using 195 tyre instead of the original 185.. does it consume more petrol ? the cornering seems to be better with this tyre though.. love cornering.. :p
What was your mileage like when you're with 185? Mine with 195, with 30% highway 70% town returns 1L-14km. That is for VPower97. On the 31st Jan morning I filled up travelled a total distance of 385km as of 3rd Feb with half of it highway returns 1L-16km.
thanks gary.. appreciate ya feedback.. use to pump v power too till it was too expensive. the fact is we can't get a good mileage in city driving. i use federal highway daily except on sunday.. mental stress brader.. :(
well my mileage was almost similar to yours when i use 185. just that the tyreman recommended 195 for better cornering and control. currently using falken 195.. not bad ley.. but cost rm 200 per tyre.. lucky company pay la.. :)
My town driving returns 1L-12km, 13km sometimes. Aside from the 'better cornering and control' another reason I believe is because 185/60/15 is consider an odd size tyre that not many shop would want to keep. Even the tyre shop I went to says he got plenty of 185/60/15 for both Conti CC5 & BStone RE080. RM200 for a Falken? Reasonable, which model? My Pirelli P6 RM250 and self-paid.
hmmm.. similar consumption with you.. currently using falken ze 522.. so far, so good.. :)
it was recommended to me by my colleague.. previously using continental.. hit potholes once, then tyre pregnant.. had to change.. then the same thing happen again.. decidede to change to falken..
